WooCommerce product architecture tool

One product page or dozens of variant URLs?

A product with three fabrics, four sizes and two finishes has 24 theoretical combinations. That doesn't mean your shop needs 24 indexable pages. Calculate the potential URL surface, then test the buying experience before picking a model.

Explore your theoretical product variants

List the number of options for each attribute. This tool assumes each option combines with every other option; real products often allow fewer combinations, have disabled variants or use one parent page for selection. It does not connect to WooCommerce or read your store.

Example: 3 × 4 × 2 gives 24 theoretical variants for one product; that is not 24 guaranteed useful landing pages.

Three checks before creating more URLs

  1. Does a direct link show the right item?

Open a saved URL for a specific fabric, size or finish. Does the selected option, image, stock and price match what the URL promises?

  2. Is the product actually different enough?

A smaller shirt size usually serves a variant selection task. A technically different model or market-specific configuration might deserve a separate destination if its content is independently useful.

  3. Can the store maintain the chosen structure?

Inspect canonical tags, ProductGroup and Offer markup, navigation, sitemaps and the behaviour when a variant is discontinued. Do not assume WooCommerce's permalink and variation settings alone establish search correctness.

Read the variable-product canonical decision guide for the one-page and multiple-page models. The formula runs entirely on your device and is a planning exercise, not a ranking forecast.
